Fake Tilt Shift Photoshopping

Boing Boing had a really neat article on producing a fake tilt shift in Photoshop to produce a photo that looks like a miniature, when in fact it's a photo of a real landscape setting. I'm not a user of Photoshop, so I'm still trying to figure out how to duplicate the instructions using Paint Shop Pro.

The effect is really cool, though.

Here's my first entry into trying this technique. A before and after set of photos taken of Schliersee, Germany. I think they'd be better if the big barn wasn't in the picture.
