Valentine's Day Snow and Ice

Overnight, we got about four inches of snow, followed by about an inch of ice. Nasty stuff to shovel, and nasty stuff to drive in. That said, I decided to work from home today rather than brave the streets.

We finally got the driveway shoveled, after two solid hours of chipping and scraping. Luke helped by whacking the snowbanks with his ball bat. I think he said it would soften them up for me. Thanks, son.

Eddie opted for staying indoors with Frank. Smart move for the pair of them.

Later today, we're supposed to get 40 mph wind gusts, so I hope it doesn't bring down any branches.
