Pinewood Derby Cars

The boys and I finished their Pinewood Derby cars for the races later this month. I wanted a chance to try out my new Christmas present from Ed and Kathleen (a Ryobi scroll saw), and this project was the perfect inauguration for it.

Luke's car has some pretty detailed cutting on it.

Luke's design is a super stealth FBI car. But here's the cool part. It comes with a sunroof so the president (John F. Kennedy, he informs me) can wave to the crowds. (A design only a kid would come up with!)



Eddie's car, well, it speaks for itself.

The dogs are taking a cruise around town! Go Dogs, Go!

The pattern of the car is totally Eddie's design. He traced it himself, and I only did the cutting.
