Becky and I went to the Kennedy Center last night to see Geoffrey Chaucer's Canterbury Tales, performed by the Royal Shakespeare Company. It was kind of a spur-of-the-moment decision to go, but Becky has wanted to see the RSC for years, and here was a great opportunity!
The show was incredible--hilarious, witty, and definitely bawdy. For those who don't remember their High School English Literature, Chaucer was basically a 14th century Benny Hill! The show was so wonderfully done, so well acted, and so damn funny, that the three hours seemed to fly away.I would definitely recommend it to anybody wanting to see a good rousing comedy show, and you can tell all your friends that it is High Theatre.
