Playing with the New Camera

Here are some of my first photos. I am still learning how to use this baby!

First shot... into a mirror, low light, no flash.

Nice depth of field with Luke sleeping (and Frank, not). 50 mm lens, F2.8, with flash.

Same type of shot with Eddie.

I actually rather like this shot! 50mm lens. F2.8, ISO 400, with flash.

This was a test at ISO 1600 (max) to see the color noise. It's really not too bad. If you zoom in, you can see some green and red flecking, but not near as much on my old camera.

Comparison shot 1: Kit lens (at 47mm), F5.6.

Comparison shot 2: 50mm lens (at 50mm), F4. This one is better. If you zoom way in, you can really see the detail.

Depth of field experiment. 50mm lens, F1.6, ISO 100, 1/60th sec., with flash. Radical!
